About Idaho Phone Directory

Phone numbers for Idaho live across a dozen different places - the state employee phonebook, agency contact pages, 44 county websites, more than a hundred school district sites, the campus directories, the library directory, every utility company, plus the area-code references maintained by NANPA and the FCC. Tracking down the right number usually means bouncing between websites. We built this site so you can land on the right directory, area-code reference, or hotline without hunting through five other sites first.

Why We Built This Site

Idaho publishes phone information across many separate offices. The state employee phonebook covers agencies, boards, and the public universities. Each of the 44 counties posts its own sheriff, clerk, and assessor lines. School districts run their own staff pages, and each campus keeps its own directory. Public-safety lines split between 911, 988, 211, and local non-emergency numbers, with no statewide 311 to fall back on. Add the utility outage lines and the FCC and NANPA references for the 208 and 986 area codes, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the lookup tools, contact methods, and reference data for each of these in one place.
